The PieLilli Creative Project is the “active lab” of this website. It is the space where my passion and research turn into tangible, handcrafted objects.
1. Handcrafted Textile Production
Using my hand-looms, I explore the relationship between yarns, fabrics, and buttons. I don’t just “apply” a button to a garment; I design the textile around the button. Whether it’s a handwoven clutch, a shopper bag or a structural swatch, the focus is on the tactile harmony of the materials. I also explore other ways weaving can brighten up our homes and lives.
2. Hand-Covered and Embroidered Buttons
My work focuses on the delicate art of hand-embroidery, primarily inspired by botanical motifs and forgotten or less known embroidery techniques. I use high-quality, organic or sustainable fabrics to create unique covered buttons that can uplift any garment. The goal is to transform a simple accessory into a “jewel of craftsmanship” that tells a story.
3. Custom Tailoring Samples
Thanks to attending professional sewing and tailoring courses, alongside a deep love for fashion, I am constantly improving my practical skills to create sample clothes and technical swatches in order to find the perfect interaction between button and fabric.
